“Flying High! I always had a dream to be a part of the aviation industry and work as Cabin Crew but I had no idea how to achieve my goal. After completing my class 12 I was introduced to the PMKVY scheme by Emporium Skills Training Institute, Dimapur and right after completion of my skills training, I got my wings. I was placed with Indigo as a Cabin Crew through a campus interview conducted at my institute. Today I am successfully working as an International Cabin Crew and I give all the credit to the Government of Nagaland, PMKVY scheme and my institute for my success. I was blessed to be a student of Emporium Skills Training Institute, Dimapur. After c“I was just like any other educated unemployed youth after completing my graduation and that is when I came to know about government sponsored skill training through my friends and social media. At first I was not very confident about it as I had no clue about the Emporium Skills Training Institute and also the hospitality industry as such. I gained confidence and then started performing during my placement interviews. I was lucky to be selected by the Grand Hyatt in Kochi, a luxury international five star hotel and completed 2 years of my service. I had a dream to work overseas with a luxury hotel brand, thus I contacted the Emporium alumni cell and my dream was fulfilled immediately. I got selected by Fairmont Maldives, a luxury international resort under Accor group from Europe. Currently, I am living my dream in Maldives. I will be forever grateful to the Emporium Institution, PMKVY scheme and the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland for giving me this opportunity. “I was a very shy and introverted girl. I never had the courage to talk to strangers or face people in a crowd but I always had a dream to be a part of the aviation industry. However, due to my personal drawbacks I was not confident enough to achieve my dream.
After completing my graduation, I was a mere unemployed youth without any direction or focus. I was always confused and had no one to guide me in the right direction. One fine day, I came across a newspaper advertisement which was issued by Emporium Skills Training Institute. It was about a government sponsored skill development training in the field of aviation and hospitality; I was thrilled and excited at the same time. I contacted the Emporium team and from that day my life changed, Emporium institute moulded me to be thorough professional. I was initially placed as a Cabin Crew with Spicejet through a campus interview which was conducted at the Emporium Skills Training Institute right after completion of training. After working in Spicejet for 2 years successfully as a Cabin Crew, I was again invited by the placement team of Emporium institute to face a direct campus interview with Saudi Arabian Airlines, the national airline of Saudi Arabia. With the blessings of God, I cleared the interview and today I am successfully flying to over 98 countries across the globe as an International Cabin Crew.
